Show off your garden!

I'd love to see screens of the stuff you guys build using decorations and other agents! Could make for some good inspiration, too, since when you're building a scene you tend to realize all the stuff you wish you had. I think we need some functional backdrops, personally.

Here's how I revamped the DS hub--Luckily the creatures can still see the doors, even though I've covered them.

What about you guys?

I've played around a bit using the Garden Box to decorate the Blockworld room, and it's loads of fun!
I'm hoping I can find a way to use the Garden Box to simplify building the Blockworld. Possibly by adding the blocks to the decoration set, although I'm not sure how good they'd be at 'snapping to the grid'.

I had a blast finally using the Garden Box today! I had to go through the frustration of having some issues with getting it to work, but it was my fault... Forgot to replace a few old image files from the testing phase. Oh, Jessica! Anyways, although I didn't make extensive use of every Garden Box element, I had a wonderful time customizing the Biodome! I posted a to showcase what I did. Nothing too special, although I absolutely love the patch plants and many of the decorative items! I also had fun with the Magic Words Room Edits... Made myself a giant waterfall for a little extra nature scene!

I love the tinting options: There are truly so many ways to customize a single item. Great, great work, Amai! I can't wait to see what else comes from the Garden Box: The possibilities are endless!

Here's my biodome, complete with abuse of the tint tool! I'm in love with the bright colors. :P

This is one of my favorite areas, with the stargazing platform, Shee statue, and purple grass.

Image

Lots of apples!

Image

Pink sand. And the waterfall idea, which I stole from Jessica.
I hope she doesn't mind, it just looks really cool.

Image

A treehouse and more apples.

Image

I really like the way the seed pods look on bark.

Image

A rather dank cave. (And Kitty, who kept running away from the camera. Such pretty colors, you think he'd be less shy.)

Image

Finally, half of the lower area.

And the other half.

Awesome, Reed! You did a really nice job: I love abusing the tint tool, too! And I was hoping people would use the waterfall idea: I'm glad you were able to get it working, even with my random instructions that were anything but clear! That little area just seemed too perfect for it... I think the rock element blends in beautifully, and having the moving water adds a new layer of excitement. Well, it's a waterfall. And that's not really exciting, although it's still a genius agent! The apples looks like they're growing very well: They're one of my favorite patch plants because they resemble flowers during part of their life cycle. Thanks for sharing!

My Ainarda I Spent All Day On!

Top left in the scurry castle is a few potted plants and little thingies that aren't Garden Box; Same with in the top middle Treehouse.

Top leftmost tree has some bouncy plums and apples in warmer seasons mostly for decoration. Occasionally plums will hop within reach of a creature, but most of mine don't try the elevine. Not much up here for the things to investigate.

Middle-left tree has warm treats for spring and summer, since (as far as i know) Ainarda's temperatures don't change with the weather. This is the only above-world area with Garden Box food, so hopefully creatures will be encouraged to stay here for spring and summer.

The middle-right tree sprouts cold flowers for fall and winter. The rightmost part even has pretty cherry blossoms (which is unrealistic that time of year, but nobody said realism was mandatory)

I've noticed that no matter what, most creatures don't give a bother enough to venture to this rightmost tree! Why?! It has such a beautiful view! So I've made this little niche a reward for those arsed enough to get up here, with year-round cherry blossoms and roses of various delicious assortments.

The ocean is filled with basically everything an ocean can have. The tiny leftmost pond has nothing. Moving on.

The middle sections with tree roots have mushrooms and carrots year-round, as well as the rightmost vertical expanse past the bridge into the Geode cave.

Meat apples are growing out of the cracks in the walls into a mysterious nest full of rotted bodies and fecal matter and... yeah. Gross. I wouldn't want to go in there.

The lower left enclave is where i put ettins and grendels so they don't disturb my more important geats and norns :T. The pink trees grow homesickness-reducing flowers and strawberries during the summer and spring, and in colder months... nothing. Hopefully they take an elevine to the left half of the area before they starve to death to find more food, and maybe take the elevator upstairs to find more surprises...

The Geode cave is different from the rest of my areas, as it has nothing beneficial within and should be avoided by any mortal creature with an indescerning appetite. Sleepiness flowers grow all year save Winter, while alcoholic ATP-decoupling roses grow in spring and summer. The worst time to traverse the cave is spring, when the belladonna cyanide roses grow, making Winter the only safe season to cross this bridge on an empty stomach. Cherry blossoms grow here in winter instead. Also, there's a dragon skull. To learn stuff. Yay.

That'd be the end of my Garden Box Ainarda tour! I spent a lot of time on it and... this forum post... bai...
